This is a PHOTO TUTORIAL to help you How to sew Big Nose for your Fat Kitty Cat plushie.
You can find Fat Kitty Cat Sewing Pattern and detailed step-by-step illustrated easy to follow tutorial style Instructions in my SHOP.
STEP 5.: NOSE
Pin the contrasting and the cotton fabric with wrong sides together.
Sew around with a 1/8 inch (3mm) seam allowance.
STEP 7.: HEAD FRONT
After the STEP 6. (sewing darts) fold the HEAD FRONT piece in half – right sides together.
Pin and sew the HEAD FRONT piece together from 11 to 1.
Now you can see a “hole” in the middle of the HEAD FRONT piece.
Pin the NOSE piece to the HEAD FRONT piece – with right sides together – matching the pattern markings (9., 10., 11.).
NOTE: Use lots of pins so the pieces don’t slip as you sew this seam.
Slowly sew around the edges along the line you drew.
NOTE: You can sew over the pins carefully, but I usually pull them out before I am about to go over them.
Using a sharp scissors, cut a hole open on the inside of the nose.
(the length of the hole about 1 inch = 2,5cm)
NOTE: Be careful!
Cut ONLY the cotton fabric of the nose piece (“inside” nose), not the contrasting fabric (“outside” nose).
STUFF THE NOSE
With the help of a wooden skewer stuff the nose. I used a pencil 🙂
NOTE: The finished nose should be VERY VERY FIRM, VERY VERY HARD.
Hand-stitch the opening with slip stitch.
The BIG NOSE of your Kitty Cat is READY! 🙂 🙂 🙂
Happy Sewing!
